“TURN IT OFF”
3/3 of my conservation posters for Sustainable Kingston.
The concept behind this is the subliminal messaging of having the lightswitch turned off in the image and in the borders really engraining that message to the audience.
“THERE IS NO ENDLESS SUPPLY”
2/3 of my conservation posters for Sustainable Kingston.
The concept behind this is really the dripping faucet - not enough people realize how much water we waste each day, and the colours really bring that WWII propoganda style back to life.
“A BRIGHT IDEA”
1/3 of my conservation posters for Sustainable Kingston.
The concept behind this is the play on words with the brightness of lightbulbs,
and how we can conserve energy by changing our lightbulbs to more energy efficient ones.
Continuation
A lot of plans have gone up and down within the last few weeks including workshops, work, hangouts, and art/media projects.
Art show poster (which ill add a picture of in another post) - didn’t win this time around.
Conservation posters in a war time style for Sustainable Kingston.
They’re going to be up all around town.
Was supposed to see Bridesmaid, the movie, the other day, but it was completely packed and still outdoors waiting for tickets by the time the movie started.
Attempting next week.
Apparently it’s one of the hit comedies of the year!
Also had the opportunity to do a media event where we would work with Sustainable Kingston to chalk out their logo along with other various representations of sustainability in Kingston’s market square. Unfortunately, they decided to rescheduel due to unpredictable weather.
Got to meet a wonderful wowan by the name of Mary-Anne yesterday for a tye dye workshop. Great lady! Met Steven Spielberg. And made wonderful connections and got great advice with her as to how to go about potentially doing silkscreening as a business as she works as an entrepeneur making tye dye for a living, and doing very well at that.
What have i been up to for a month or so?
Lots you could say,
Here the story begins…
A new adventure to “the marble slab”
fresh icecream, mixed in with pre much whatever your heart desires.
Delicious! but super long line. Worth the wait. Recommended.
The fair!
Only comes once in a while, so it was something nice and different to do with my girls.
They had a rock climbing wall where you could win a potential $100 too!
In the end, we decided just to go on the Twirl a Whirl,
just like old childhood times.
All people dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their mind, wake in the morning to find that it was vanity. But the dreamers of the day are dangerous people, For they dream their dreams with open eyes, And make them come true.
If a tree falls in the woods and there’s no one around to hear it, does it make a sound?
Does anyone truly care what other bloggers post about their every day lives?
It’s hard to say.
It could pose as an escape from reality, a different perspective, or even just an update on a fellow’s life journey.
recently got into a feud that i’m not particular proud of.
pointless argument.
to this point, not sure where it’s necessary going.
but what i do know is that it’s going in circles.
A crossover
A glass a day is suppose to lower …cholestrol?
A glass of RED wine.
A day at home.
Sleeping in, art, more art, did i mention art?
And then came lunch.
Mac and cheese with red wine mixed with pomegranete juice.
Just like how Catherine Middleton and Prince William are going to wed tomorrow morning at 3am, it shows the cross over between the common with the high class.
I’m sure their wedding is going to be a sight to see, and I definitely plan on watching it some time.
Apparently their flower arrangements alone cost $800 000…
that is definitely going to be less than even my whole wedding combined.
I’m sure of it.
The places I love to hate
It’s a bittersweet world at times.
Allan Graphics.
Home.
AG - a place to learn, a place of process, and great staff.
A place of heavy ink fumes that make your nauseous, a place where I sit in the corner for 6 hours a day, It’s sad to say that my time with them has ended.
Ciao for now!
Whereas home is wherever your heart is, right?
NO.
As long as you live under the same roof as your parents,
it’ seems that “what I say goes” still applies.
Yet it’s far better than most places, so who am I to complain.
